Heloísa de Arruda Camargo is a full Professor at the Computing Department, Federal University of São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil. She worked as a post-doctorate research at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB, Canada and holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Faculty of Electrical and Computing Engineering at UNICAMP. She received her M.Sc. and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science from University of São Paulo, in São Carlos. Her research interests include machine learning, fuzzy logics and applications, Evolutionary fuzzy systems, machine learning from datastreams, fuzzy clustering and Fuzzy Petri nets.
