She is a Lawyer and has a Master and Ph.D. in Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUCSP); Ph.D. in Philosophy of Law from the University of Salento, Italy. She was Postdoc in Philosophy, Art and Critical Thinking at the European Graduate School, Saas-Fee, Switzerland, and in Sociology at the Center for Social Studies, University of Coimbra, Coimbra, Portugal. She develop research in the area of data protection, artificial intelligence, law and ethics, and lawgorithm at the Intelligence Technologies and Digital Design (TIDD) and at Institute of Advanced Studies (IEA USP). She has several published books and legal articles and she is editor of legal and philosophical journals.
