Marcelo Labre is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Viridios Capital, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Viridios AI. He has over 18 years financial markets experience across multiple asset classes and, as a pioneered in the carbon markets, he has worked on some of the most innovative structured carbon transactions to date. Marcelo is also a subject matter expert and thought leader on applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in finance. In his current roles at Viridios Capital and Viridios AI, and through his expertise in finance and AI, Marcelo works on solutions that contribute to solving some of the most important problems humanity has faced in generations: climate and sustainable development. An engineer from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Marcelo also has a Masters in Finance from London Business School and PhD in Mathematical Finance from Imperial College London.
