Luiz Fernando Durão is professor at the Escola Superior de Engenharia e Gestão (ESEG), and at INSPER, Researcher at the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo, and Visiting Researcher at the Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany). He works with advanced manufacturing and product development using design thinking. He participates in different additive manufacturing, distributed manufacturing, teaching and product development projects both focusing on the use of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence. He has experience in the financial, oil and gas and automotive industry areas. He participated of the Brazilian team in the discipline “Design Innovation” in partnership with Stanford University and a Brazilian company of the aeronautics sector. He has collaborated with international product development disciplines in partnership with Aalto Design Factory (Finland) and Trinity College Dublin (Ireland). He is Production Engineer (2014), with Master in production engineering (2017) and Ph.D. student at the Escola Politécnica of the University of São Paulo.
