Ramiro de Avila Peres holds a Bachelor of Laws and Social Sciences (UFRGS), a Master’s and a Ph.D. in Philosophy (UFRGS). His research is primarily focused on applied ethics, practical reason and legal philosophy. He currently works as an analyst for the Central Bank of Brazil with a team in charge of fintech supervision and of developing analytical tools for automating procedures. He is also a member of its Post-Graduate Committee and he is assistant editor of the Philpapers categorization project (in the areas of Financial Ethics and Business Ethics) and of the Revista da CGU (Journal of the Office of the Comptroller General).
