Anna Helena Reali Costa

Anna Helena Reali Costa is Full Professor at University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from USP, and an Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the FEI University Center in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil. She was a research scientist at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany, working in robot vision and intelligent mobile robots. She was also a guest researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, USA, working in planning, control, learning, and execution algorithms for multi-robot teams. She has published around 200 refereed papers in Journals and Conferences. Her main interest lies in artificial intelligence, particularly in visual perception, autonomous agents, and real-time learning, especially in reinforcement learning and knowledge transfer.
