Rodrigo Clemente Thom de Souza holds a BSc in Computer Science at UEM, MBA in Information Technology Applied to Strategic Management at FGV-RJ, MBA in Marketing in Technology Environment at ESPM, MSc in Production and Systems Engineering at PUC-PR, PhD in Numerical Methods in Engineering at UFPR with PhD Sandwich at the University of Manchester, UK. He has experience as consultant and manager in private companies, Director of Research in private HEI and member of the UFPR Research Committee. His research interests include Computational Intelligence, Data Mining, Metaheuristics and Deep Learning, with experience in applications in various sectors, such as financial, chemical, electrical, textile, educational, agricultural, environmental, engineering, astronomy and civil construction. He has international experience at the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology (UK) and in projects in partnership with the University of Minho (Portugal). Currently is Adjunct Professor at UFPR, leader of the CNC – Research Group in Natural and Scientific Computation (UFPR) and member of International Relations at UFPR.
